Expanding boot disk, \Windows\System32\winload.exe missing or corrupt

After expanding a virtual boot disk, the system reports \Windows\System32\winload.exe missing or corrupt

Solution:

Execute next commands in repair mode (Vista / Win2k8):

c:\windows\system32\bcdedit /set {default} device partition=c:
c:\windows\system32\bcdedit /set {default} osdevice partition=c:
c:\windows\system32\bcdedit /set {bootmgr} device partition=c:
